Cafe Europa

This Café Europa group has been in existence for five years, and has evolved into a supportive community for participants. Meetings alternate from lunch at the Y to various outings including local restaurants, Museums and theater.

 

It is a monthly discussion group for Holocaust Survivors  and people who were  lives directly impacted by the Holocaust.  The goal of the group is to offer a place for Survivors to connect in a comfortable setting with others who share similar life experiences. A delectable lox lunch is served.

 

Teh group meets the first Thursday of the month, from 12 noon to 1:30. For more information or to participate please call Karen Rosenfeld, LCSW (973)777-7638.

 

August Meeting will be held on Thursday August 7th. The guest speeker is Dr. Marc Haspel, podiatrist, who will discuss "Putting Your Best Foot Forward", a program about keeping feet healthy.

 

September meeting is planned for September 11th. The program will include skits and interactive discussions presented by the Mental Health Players. The group discussion will address issues related to maintaining good mental health as we age.
